My first LP (or rather Let's Try) with audio commentary will feature the casual roguelike Dungelot. This free game by Red Winter can be downloaded for PC and Mac, or played online from http://dungelot.com/ Paid mobile versions are also available through Google Play and the iOS App Store. I still have to tweak my audio setup some more for the next video, since CamStudio ended up having a rather horrible stereomix quality. I'll probably record the audio separately in Audacity and demux it manually into the video afterwards; I already need to do this for the audio commentary anyway, since I record that on my cellphone so I can balance the levels manually. *About Dungelot:* Dungelot is a cute casual roguelike (or perhaps more a roguelite) which combines permadeath with cross-game coins you can use to purchase upgrades for your characters to make subsequent travels through the dungeon easier. The objective of the game is to get as deep into the dungeon as possible, while uncovering as much treasure as you can. As you quest your way through the dungeon, you'll encounter a wide variety of creatures, most of which are determined to kill you. There's also plenty of loot though; coins, weapons, spells, equipment, strength upgrades, etc. It has fairly limited stats: health, strength, initiative, block chance and some character class bonuses such as Holy Strike (extra damage against undead as Paladin), but combines this with some equipment and spells for a varied gameplay. The soundtrack is nice, but gets a bit repetitive after a while. The graphics are cute and nicely drawn and create a nice atmosphere. The levels are short and you can suspend your game at any time. It won't remember your progress mid-level though, so be sure to suspend your game at the start of a new floor, and not at the end of it.
